Brakes and Housing Ends

Mark Williams front brake kits are designed using aircraft grade aluminum, utilizing a single piece hub and brake hat design. The large diameter of the hub reduces the rotating mass of the steel rotors. Hubs come drilled with both 4-1/2" and 4-3/4" bolt patterns. All GM kits require spindle modifications as well as the Late Mustang 4 Piston Kit #75750.

Rear kits utilize a similar mass reducing design in the brake hat. Hats are made from aircraft grade aluminum and are drilled for 4-1/2", 4-3/4" and 5" bolt circles with 5/8" studs. The kit includes 5/16" thick caliper mounting bracket, linings and all hardware needed to mount the kit. You can order solid, slotted, or cross drilled rotors, as well as a Carbon/Carbon option.

All brakes, front and rear now all come standard with a Slot-Drive™ system that reduces rotor warping. The Mark Williams 4 Piston Caliper incorporates internal porting with a 5/16" bridge bolt to reduce maintenance, and increase bridge strength. All kits are assembled with Timken bearings and CR seals.

Please read the brake technical page for any addition questions you might have including troubleshooting, how to proportion your system, master cylinder selection, brake offset and standout, and proper fluids..

Things You Should Know

1) What is the weight difference between carbon rotors and steel? -For front brakes you will save 7 lbs. over the steel rotors while the rear discs save 12 lbs.

2) What wheel size is compatible with Mark Williams Brakes? Our brakes will fit with 15" wheels. You can also use a 15" bead-lock where the minimum clearance on the bead lock ring is 13.25".

3) What kind of pads should I use with carbon rotors? Only carbon fiber pads should be used with the carbon fiber rotors. Standard pads designed for steel rotors are incompatible with Mark Williams carbon fiber brakes and should never be used.
